Winter Wonderland

What a weekend! All I have to say is that we got a LOT of snow....according to Daddy about 2 feet of it. All I know is that I could very easily get lost out there. I have mixed reviews about my first snow experience. I think the pictures can give you a pretty good idea of what we are dealing with after 24 hours of heavy snow.

This is the view out our front window Saturday afternoon.

I'm going out!

It's cold!

Maybe this isn't so bad.

Saturday night and still snowing.

Daddy shoveled Guiness a path in the backyard.

Where's Guiness?

On Sunday, I found out that sitting in the snow is not much fun.

Daddy worked really hard all morning to dig us out. Thanks Daddy!

Mommy took me for a quick walk.

It's been fun, but I'm ready to go inside now.

I think that is enough snow for awhile! Hope everyone has a Merry White Christmas and safe travels!

O' Christmas Tree

Last weekend we went to get our Christmas tree with my friend Sam and his daddy, Paul. It's the second time I got to go cut down a tree with Mommy and Daddy, but I don't remember last years trip too well. We had a lot of fun, but it sure was cold!

Are we done yet?

The perfect tree!!!

No thank you, I don't want to hold anyone's hand.

How about this wreath too?

It's prickly...

Hello... Santa?....

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

It's tough to be a 1 year old

After a great birthday weekend, I had a rough couple of weeks which is the reason I've been MIA for awhile. The Monday after my birthday I came down with a cold, which turned into the flu (not confirmed, but suspected), which turned into a double ear infection. I did have a fun trip to PA for Thanksgiving, but I wasn't feeling my best. Today I went for my delayed 1 year check up with Dr. Lee. She is still very proud of me and all that I am doing. In fact, she told Mommy and Daddy that I act more like a 15 month old than a 12 month old. I just don't understand why, after the nice time we spent together, she makes that nurse come in and give me 4 shots! I thought we were friends...oh well. So my new stats are:
Length: 30 inches
Weight: 19 pounds 4.5 ounces ( no forward facing in the car seat yet )
Head Circumference: 17 1/4 inches

I dropped to 10th percentile in weight, but Dr Lee is not worried since I eat well, sleep well and am so active.

Here are some pictures to get you caught up with the past few weeks.
For starters, Mommy trimmed my bangs. Before.....

and After...

We went to PA for Thanksgiving.
I was so happy to see everyone.

and I taught Uncle Chris and Uncle Josh all about the farm animals.

I spent the day Friday just hanging out...

and napping with Papa

Back at home, I've been catching up on my reading

and hanging with my puppy Carl

The next few weeks are going to be very exciting and we have a lot to do to get ready for Christmas. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy as we get ready for the holidays.
