Summer Fun

We can't believe that summer is over already! We had so much fun and did so many fun things like....

Swimming! Jason seemed to really like his first time in the pool. He liked to splash just like he does in the bathtub.

I had even more fun in the pool. Check out my goggles.

Aunt Kenna helped me swim with the noodle...
and then she took me for a ride while she swam with the noodle.
When we went to PA for Jason's baptism, we also spent a day at Dutch Wonderland. It was so much fun. Jason had his first ride on the carousel, but he wasn't allowed to ride on a horse yet. I, however, rode one all by myself.

Watch out everyone,  here I come! I liked this ride.
I think Jason was a little sad that he had to watch from the stroller. Next year Jason.
I also liked the bear ride.
I did NOT like the frogs.
Cruising with Daddy and he let me drive!

Perhaps my most favorite part of the day was when I got my new tattoo. It didn't hurt at all!
 Isn't she beautiful?!

More fun on the carousel.
Can we come here again next year please!? I want to ride the rides too!

We also had some down time this summer. Jason turned 7 months old, and I practiced my cheerleading skills.

I also got my haircut for school.

And I went to my first Redskins game with Daddy.
Jason tried on his jersey too, but he didn't get to go to the game. Next year Jason...

We had an end of summer camp concert at school.

We did the chicken dance for one of our performances.
Here I am with my friend Cayden at a birthday party.
 Cupcakes for everyone! Mmmmm!

Hope you enjoyed seeing a little of what we did this summer. Poor Jason, he did a lot of watching, but like I kept telling him, next year!

A Special Day for Jason

We all took a very special trip to Nana and Papa's house this summer for Jason's baptism. He wore the same dress that has been in Mommy's family for years. We were lucky it still fit him!

 He was very well behaved...
until this part, then he was not too happy!
Mike and Mindy are Jason's God parents. Father Menei did the baptism.

Thank you everyone for being part of my special day!

XOXO, Ryanne and Jason

Playing Catch Up

Let us begin by apologizing...again...for the lapse in posts. As we get older, life gets busier and well we just don't have as much time to blog. We promise to do it as often as possible.
Now, let's get you all caught up. Ladies first...
I got a new bathing suit and goggles. Do you like them?
Uncle Josh and Meghan came to visit one weekend. We went to a store that was just for cupcakes! Can you believe they have stores like that?! I loved it!
 Happy Father's Day Daddy!
I helped to make breakfast for Daddy and Papa on Father's Day. We had Belgium waffles, yum!
We spent an afternoon at Brookside Gardens to see the flowers and the butterfly exhibit. I did not like the butterflies...they kept chasing me. I did like all the pretty flowers.
In the beginning of July we had a really bad storm and we lost power. Because it was soooo hot we went to stay with Gammy in Apolis (Annapolis). Gammy and I had fun sleepovers in her room. Her puppy Jack liked to sleep with me on my bed.

The most exciting news is that I started dance class! I love it! I get to learn ballet and tap and my teacher says I'm pretty good.

On a not so fun note, I was sick with croup :( Thankfully it didn't take away my smile and I still had fun on my swing.
Now it's Jason's turn...
I still love to eat and I haven't met a food I don't like...
 or a foot.
I had my first fourth of July parade at school.

Ryanne still likes to dress me up. Sometimes, I'm not so happy about it.
I slept like a baby while we vacationed at Gammy's because of the storm.
The big new is I learned how to sit up!!
Come on Mom, enough with the pictures!
Sitting keeps getting easier and I get to play with cool new toys.
Now, what you've been waiting for...
I turned 6 months old in July. I had a good check up and I am doing well in all areas. Here are my new stats:
Height: 29 inches (99%)
Weight: 18 pounds 4 ounces (67%)
Height to Weight ratio: 9%. In other words, I am long and lean!
Let's do a little comparison. Ryanne was 30 inches and 19 pounds at 1 year! I am going to be much bigger than her! She better watch out.
And the six month check up was the beginning of the end...of healthy days that is. The following Friday I had my first ambulance ride to the hospital because of croup (and hopefully the last). They sent me home after some steroids and a nebulizer treatment. Did I mention it was the middle of the night? Thankfully Nana and Papa were visiting and this is where I slept the best the rest of the weekend. Thank you Papa for your belly. I really like it.
A week later, after croup, double ear infections, steroids and antibiotics, I am feeling much better. I love my swing!
Looks like I spoke too soon about being all better. A week later and I was back at the pediatrician for a rash that turned out to be hives because of an allergic reaction to penicillin. It may look bad but don't worry I still felt pretty good.

Hopefully August will be a healthier month for us!
Now lets get you a few pictures of us together.
Mommy caught a nice moment between the two of us...
but uh oh! Jason is learning to fight back!

When Jason wasn't feeling well I held him in my lap and we watched a little show together.
We may fight at times, but love prevails!  Brother and sister forever!
XOXO, Ryanne and Jason
