6 Months Old and 6 Months Wiser

Well I did it...I hit the half year mark! I saw Dr. Lee yesterday and she is very pleased with my progress. She continues to tell me that I am advanced in all areas of my development and has given mommy and daddy the go ahead to start giving me real food. I haven't had any yet, but I do like the stage 2 food MUCH better than the stage 1 baby food. My new stats are...

26 3/4 inches long.....90% percentile

14 pounds 11 ounces......25% percentile

16.5 inches head circumference.....25% percentile

In other words, I have become long and lean! I was in the 50% percentile for height at my 4 month appointment so I really did a lot of growing these last 2 months.

Now, here are some things I've learned in my life so far...words of wisdom to pass on to my younger friends:

1. If you are in bed and don't want to be anymore, cry and they will come

2. If you lean over to far when you are sitting you will fall...but it's ok because if you cry they will come

3. If they make you do tummy time...you can roll onto your back to get out of doing it OR you can cry and eventually they will come

4. If you don't want to eat something, like sweet peas, close your lips real tight and turn your head away. And whatever you do, don't open your mouth for ANY reason because they will sneak a spoonful into your mouth! And if all else fails, cry...and well, they are already there, so in this case, the crying will make them stop.
5. If you are bored, cry and they will come.
Notice a common theme baby friends of mine?

I've also learned that...

paper is fun to play with

and so are phones and remote controls

my hair is starting to get wavy from the humidity like mommy's

And I look good in hats...

Daddy's hat

my hat

and Uncle Luis's hat

(thanks Uncle Luis for letting me wear your hat)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I hope that all of the wonderful mommies out there had a great mother's day. My mommy did!
I love to sit in the grass.
My Gammy got me a tutu outfit because she knew that mommy wanted me to have one. It was too chilly for the tutu today, but here I am wearing the headband. I promise to put up pictures when I wear the tutu.
